Sh-clunk clunk…Sh-clunk clunk…Sh…

Perhaps, the sounds of harmonious tap dancers coming from a performance hall?

Indeed, a nurturing ground where individual yarns spindle in unison, delicately introducing a new day at MACHIEN Inc.

Shoelaces produced in MACHIEN Inc. all go through five major steps: (a) Yarn Selection; (b) Lace Braiding; (c) 1st Quality Check; (d) Further Processing; (e) 2nd Quality Check. Only after passing through these processes will the shoelaces be considered qualified products.

Step 1: Yarn Selection

We work closely with yarn providers in giving you laces of the expected colors.

Step 2: Lace Braiding

Dependent on the types of braiding (refer to Shoelace Genealogy for more info), we’ll begin the producing process on corresponding braiding machines.

Step 3: 1st Quality Check

Scratches, oil stains, and shrinkage are very often found among shoelaces after they have been taken down from machines. Even so, we expect all our customers to receive the best quality laces, meaning that defected shoelaces will be dismissed during our first inspection procedure.

Step 4: Further Processing

Customers at MACHIEN Inc. can choose how they want their half-made shoelaces to be further processed. We offer a total of 10 different reprocessing services, including waxing, calendering, waterproofing, washing and ironing, head tipping, printing, heat cut, knit and trim, and dying. Examples of some often seen services are head tipping where aglets are fixed to shoelaces so that the heads would look more fashionable and organized, and printing where shoelaces are offered a new look with printed logos or slogans.

Step 5: 2nd Quality Check

Every shoelace at MACHIEN Inc. is required to pass through the second quality check, also the most rigorous procedure, before it sets sail. Although this may indicate an increased cost in labor and time, it reflects an aspect of our management philosophy.

Up to this point, you must have finally found the nuances and peculiarities of each shoelace. Not only does it require the skills for making them, but it also calls for an all-time persistence from the maker.

MACHIEN Inc. is here offering you the high quality services and shoelaces you've been looking for.
